Felician's Valle Named Met Writers Player of Week

Junior Posted Strong All-Around Numbers as Golden Falcons Won Twice

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 23, 2025) – Felician University junior forward Ane Valle has been named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Women’s Division II-III Player of the Week for the period ending December 21, the MBWA announced today. Valle was chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Valle led Felician to a pair of non-league home victories last week, averaging 21.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists while shooting 56 percent from the floor. She recorded 23 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, and five steals during a win over Saint Michael’s College on Dec. 19.

Valle, who is the Met Player of the Week for the first time in her career, is the CACC’s fourth-leading scorer at 15.7 points per game. She is second in the conference with a 5.0 assist average.

MBWA weekly awards for Division II-III encompass 49 schools in the New York City metropolitan area.

 

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
