NEWARK, Del. (February 3, 2025) -- Erin Harvey, Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator at Wilmington University, was recently appointed to the NCAA Division II Committee for Legislative Relief.

The committee serves as the final decision-making body for any waiver requests in situations where no other committee, subcommittee, or conference has the authority to act. It grants relief of legislation when extenuating circumstances exist or may determine that relief should not be granted. The committee also may impose conditions when relief of the legislation is granted. Committee members participate in conference calls as needed, and attend in-person meetings held at NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis.

Five members, including one member of the Division-II Management Council, serve on the committee and are elected to a four-year term, which began at the conclusion of the January 2025 Convention. Harvey's term will run through August 2028. Representatives are appointed based on their knowledge of Division-II rules and regulations (primarily in amateurism, recruiting, transfers, and financial aid), as well as their experience as an administrator in intercollegiate athletics. Harvey is joined by California State University East Bay's Marcie Haduca Covell (Chair), Point Loma's Jackie Armstrong (Management Council Representative), Dominican (Calif.)'s Amy Henkelman, Mars Hill's Marty Gilbert, and Tampa's Rob Fielder.

An active administrator in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, Harvey currently serves as the Chair of the CACC Senior Woman Administrator Council. She also chairs the CACC Marketing & Promotions Committee and serves on the following groups within the conference: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and Membership Committee. As Wilmington's NCAA Senior Compliance Officer, a role she's held since 2012, Harvey is responsible for the initial and continuing eligibility of the University's 300-plus student-athletes. She is also charged with ensuring that there is full institutional control in all activities directly and indirectly associated with Wilmington Athletics, as well as overseeing the department operates in accordance with the rules and regulations as set forth by the NCAA, the CACC, and Wilmington University.
