PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MICHAEL PASCOE, Chestnut Hill – Sophomore infielder/pitcher batted .412 (7 for 17), slugged 1.000, and picked up a pitching victory during a 4-1 week for the Griffins. Had a double, three home runs and nine RBI, including six during Saturday’s 12-inning, 18-12 Game 1 win at Holy Family. Added five walks for a .545 OBP. Pitched seven innings of a 7-4 non-league win over Kutztown on Mar. 11.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

ALBERT BOBADILLA, Jefferson – Graduate right-hander pitched the Rams’ first no-hitter in nearly 10 years. In Game 2 of a league sweep of Lincoln on Friday, struck out 11 batters and walked one during a seven-inning gem, yielding a pair of unearned runs as Jefferson triumphed, 12-2. Five of his punchouts were looking.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

KEVIN BAEZ, Jefferson – RHP went the distance for an eight-inning (scheduled seven) two-hitter as Jefferson got past Lincoln in Game 2 on Saturday, 6-1. Allowed four walks with 12 strikeouts.

HONOR ROLL

XAVIER CORTEZ, Wilmington – Earned a win with seven innings in a start against Indiana-Pa. Allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks.
ERICK DIAZ, Dominican – Hit .440 and slugged .880 during a 4-2 week for the Chargers. Scored eight runs and drove in eight.
JOSEARMANDO DIAZ, Wilmington – Was 6 for 15 with two homers, including a grand slam, and seven RBI during a 2-2 week for the Wildcats.
KEITH GARDNER, Lincoln – During four games of the Lions’ 1-5 week, hit .636 (7 for 11) with two doubles.
JAVON HERNANDEZ, Jefferson – Hit .450 and slugged .900 with four XBH, seven runs scored and nine RBI as the Rams swept a four-game conference series from Lincoln.
CHRISTIAN ORTIZ, Bridgeport – Hit .636, plus four walks, and drove in four runs during a weekend four-game split with Caldwell.
JAKE SCHWEIKER, Chestnut Hill – Allowed just an unearned run on seven hits over 7 1/3 innings, winning CHC’s season opener against Holy Family.
JORDAN SESAR, Holy Family – Gave up one run on three hits with 10 strikeouts in a seven-inning complete-game win over Chestnut Hill.
