Co-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MYA JONES, Bridgeport – Junior infielder batted 8 for 12 with two doubles, three runs scored and six runs batted in as the Purple Knights went 4-0. Slugged .833 and added two walks and a hit batsman for a .733 on-base percentage. Handled eight errorless fielding chances.
Co-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ASHLEIGH TAVASKA, Caldwell – Senior shortstop hit in all eight games, including five multi-hit games, of the Cougars’ 5-3 week. Batted .600 (15 for 25) and slugged 1.040 with three doubles, a triple, and two home runs. Scored nine runs on the week while driving in eight.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
KAITE BURAWSKI, Bridgeport – Graduate left-hander spun two-complete game victories in conference play. In 12 innings, allowed one run on five hits, struck out 23 batters and walked two. Fanned 10 in a five-inning, two-hit shutout of Bloomfield on Mar. 19. Followed with 13 strikeouts during a three-hitter at Georgian Court on Saturday.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MADDIE VOLLMAR, Wilmington – Outfielder/pitcher Went 9 for 14 (.643) with three doubles, seven runs scored and four RBI during a 4-0 week for the Wildcats. Was 6 for 8 with two doubles and scored five times as Wilmington swept Goldey-Beacom on Mar. 19.
HONOR ROLL
DELANEY ALIX, Jefferson – Went 1-1 with a 1.17 ERA in the pitching circle, including a six-inning, six-hit league shutout victory over Chestnut Hill.
ALLYSA CALABRESE, Post – Allowed one run on two hits in 10 innings pitched, including a one-hit shutout of Southern Connecticut State. Was 4 for 11 at the plate.
KYLEE GUNKEL, Wilmington – Tied school career wins record (69). Went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA, including a seven-inning one-hit shutout against Dominican.
ALEXIS LETIZIA, Holy Family – Went 9 for 15 with three extra-base hits and five RBI during a 1-3 week for the Tigers.
MORGAN McLANE, Goldey-Beacom – Struck out 17 batters in a one-hit shutout versus Bloomfield. Pitched to a 2.42 ERA on the week.
MOLLY MOORE, Holy Family – Was 1-0 with a 0.78 ERA in two pitching appearances, including a complete-game victory over Felician.
WYNTER RADCLIFFE, Goldey-Beacom – Went 8 for 14 with a double, a home run and five RBI during a 2-2 week for the Lightning.
BRIDGET SHIELDS, Jefferson – Hit .417 with a double and three runs scored as the Rams split four games on the week.
