Jefferson Earns 2025 CACC Men's Tennis Championship

Rams Collect Fourth Consecutive Conference or Division Crown

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 17, 2025) – Thomas Jefferson University has earned the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s tennis championship by capturing the first two matches of its three-match regular-season series against Chestnut Hill College.

Jefferson (8-7) defeated the Griffins, 6-1, on March 26, and topped Chestnut Hill (3-12) again by a 5-2 score on April 14. The teams have one more meeting this spring, scheduled for Saturday at the Legacy Youth Tennis Center.

During the teams’ first matchup, Jefferson’s Antonio Mateos Melenchon, Anthony Moukarzel, Jules Thibault, and Enrique Soto Ballester were all double winners. In the rematch, Chestnut Hill’s Menno Raemaekers was a double winner as the Griffins took all three doubles matches, but the Rams’ victories at the first five singles flights wrapped up the championship.

Jefferson won the CACC Division of the 2024 CACC-ECC Men’s Tennis league, and was the 2022 and 2023 CACC champion.
