NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 22, 2025) – Felician University senior Chantoya Thomas has been selected as the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Year and graduate teammate Jada Carroll has been named the 2025 CACC Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today. The voting was conducted by the league’s 10 head coaches.
Thomas and Carroll headline the release of the CACC’s major award winners in women’s outdoor track & field. Ryley Dixon of Goldey-Beacom College has been voted the Track Rookie of the year and Caldwell University’s Angel Cruz-Fletcher is the Field Rookie of the Year. Felician interim head coach John Brennan is the 2025 CACC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year, while Chestnut Hill College is the winner of the annual Team Sportsmanship Award.
Thomas, from Spanish Town, Jamaica, captures her third consecutive Track Athlete of the Year award. She set meet records at the 2025 CACC Championship in the 200-meter and 400-meter races, running an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the latter. She also ran legs for the Golden Falcons’ winning 4x100-meter relay team and the silver-medalist 4x400-meter squad. Thomas was a USTFCCCA Division II outdoor All-East Region honoree in the 400 meters.
Carroll was the CACC champion in both the high jump and the triple jump, posting the top performance in the conference for the season in both events. She was also third on the CACC performance list in the long jump and the 100-meter hurdles. Carroll, from Ridgefield Park, N.J., earned all-region honors in the high jump and triple jump.
Dixon emerged as one of the CACC’s top sprinters. The Pilesgrove, N.J., resident scored in four events at the CACC Championship meet, including a silver medal in the 200 meters and a bronze in the 400. She is among the top three on the conference performance lists in the 100, 200 and 400, and was named all-region in the 200l.
Cruz-Fletcher, of Bloomfield, N.J., took the gold medal in the long jump at the CACC Championship with the top mark in the conference this season. She finished third in the triple jump and also scored in the 4x100-meter relay.
Brennan was selected by a vote of the conference’s directors of athletics communications. Felician’s inaugural coach in 2015, he took over the program again during this year’s indoor season and guided the Golden Falcons to their third consecutive CACC outdoor championship.
Chestnut Hill, led by head coach Ashley Johnson, was the coaches’ choice for displaying class and character throughout the outdoor season.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
