CACC Women's Sportsmanship Award Goes to Bloomfield

Bears Take Overall Conference Honor for 2024-25

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 9, 2025) – The 2024-25 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Sportsmanship Award for women’s sports has been bestowed upon Bloomfield College, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today.

During the academic year, a postseason Team Sportsmanship Award is handed out for each of the CACC’s 17 championship sports. The year-end overall Sportsmanship Award is determined by the total number of points received in the voting for each individual sport, separated by gender, during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. The total is divided by the total number of men’s and women’s sports in which each school competes, and that average determines the standings.

Bloomfield won the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award in softball this spring. The honor provided the Bears enough points to push their season average to 17.67 points per sport and take the overall title.

Post University, backed by the team sportsmanship award in lacrosse, finished second in the final standings with an average of 12.17 points. Caldwell University placed third at 12.00 while claiming the team honor in volleyball.

Holy Family University was the winner of the 2023-24 CACC Women’s Sportsmanship Award.
