NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 28, 2025) – Caldwell University has been chosen to host the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Basketball Championship tournaments. The semifinals and final of both the men’s and women’s events will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8, at the George R. Newman Center on Caldwell’s campus in Caldwell, N.J.
The CACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships are both single-elimination tournaments. For the first full season since 2006-07, the regular season will not be contested in a divisional format, with the top eight teams in the standings qualifying for the postseason. The quarterfinals are on Tuesday, March 3 at the campus sites of the higher seeds. The quarterfinal winners will head to Caldwell for the remainder of the tournament.
The Cougars are hosting the CACC Championships for the fourth time in the last 10 years. They most recently welcomed the tournaments to Caldwell in 2024.
"We are proud that Caldwell University and our outstanding Newman Center will again serve as host of the CACC Basketball Tournaments in 2026," said Caldwell Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Mark Corino. "Our staff works tirelessly to conduct a first-class event that represents the Conference and University to the benefit of the student-athletes, fans and partners, and we are ready to continue to make one of the league's marquee events a success."
The 2025 CACC Basketball Championships were hosted by Thomas Jefferson University. The University of Bridgeport topped Post University in an all-Connecticut men’s final, while Holy Family University defeated Jefferson to take the women’s crown. The 2026 CACC champions will once again automatically qualify for their respective NCAA Division II East Regional Championship.
Admission for all rounds of the CACC Championships is $10 for adults and $5 for children, students, and senior citizens. The CACC Network will also provide live coverage of all games.
