Post to Host 2026 CACC Baseball Championship at Municipal Stadium

Four First-Round Winners to Travel to Waterbury to Complete for Title

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (August 4, 2025) – Post University has been selected to host the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Championship tournament. The four-team, double-elimination final round of the event will be held from May 7-9 at Waterbury Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Conn.

The tournament will begin with eight teams. For the first time since 2017, the CACC baseball regular season will not be conducted in a divisional format in 2026 – the top eight teams in the standings will qualify for the postseason. The CACC Championship gets underway with four best-of-three series on May 1-2, each hosted by the higher seeds. The winners of those four series will advance to Post for the remainder of the tournament.

The Eagles will be hosting the CACC Championship at Municipal for the fourth time in the last five years.

“We are looking forward to bringing the CACC Baseball Championship back to Municipal Stadium this year,” said Post Director of Athletics Karin Mann. “Municipal is an outstanding facility that will provide the student-athletes and coaches with a true championship experience.”

Wilmington University is the event’s defending champion, topping Felician University in the 2025 championship final on its home field in New Castle, Del. The winner of the 2026 tournament once again automatically qualifies for the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship. Felician won the 2025 NCAA East Regional after qualifying as an at-large selection.

Admission for all days, including first-round play, of the championship is $10 for adults and $5 for children, students, and senior citizens. The CACC Network will also provide live coverage of all games.
