PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KRISTINA PERIC, Post (GR, OH, Belgrade, Serbia) – Totaled 23 kills, 24 digs and three aces during a 3-2 victory over Mercy on Sept. 11. Hit .177 with 4.50 kills, 3.88 digs and 0.75 aces per set during the Eagles’ 2-0 week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
AVA CHURNESKY, Georgian Court (FR, OH, Canton, Mich.) – Hit .190 with 4.50 kills and 2.63 digs per set during a 2-1 week for the Lions. Put down 17 kills with a .311 attack percentage during a Sept. 9 sweep of Queens. Added 15 kills and 10 digs during Saturday’s sweep of Lincoln.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ALYSSA GROVES, Post (SR, L, Phoenix, Ariz.) – Averaged 5.63 digs and 0.63 assists per set as the Eagles went 2-0. Pulled up 30 digs during a five-set win over Mercy on Sept. 11. Became the first player in Post history to reach 2,000 career digs.
SETTER OF THE WEEK
ICIAR ZAYAS, Georgian Court (SR, S, Caguas, Puerto Rico) – Helped the Lions hit .222 during a 2-1 week. Averaged 11.22 assists, 2.33 digs and 0.78 aces per set. Recorded 39 assists and 10 digs during a 3-0 victory over Queens on Sept. 9.
