STAC Remains in Front Heading into CACC Golf Championship's Final Day

Felician Moves into Second Place but Spartans Extend Edge

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (October 7, 2026) – St. Thomas Aquinas College significantly built on its lead in the team standings after Day 2 of the 2026-27 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship tournament on Wednesday at Jeffersonville Golf Club. The event is being hosted Tuesday through Thursday by Thomas Jefferson University.

Each of the seven competing teams start five players each round, with the top four scores counting toward the team score. With a second-round 285 after having shot 293 on Tuesday, St. Thomas Aquinas extended its edge from five shots to 24. The Spartans are CACC newcomers, having joined the conference this summer as associate members for men’s golf. All five STAC players sit among the top 10 in the individual standings, including tournament leader Conor McKenna.

Felician University moved up one slot into second place, following its first-round 304 with Wednesday’s 298. Felician seeks its first CACC championship and last finished as high as second in 2015-16.

The CACC Championship is a 54-hole tournament. The third and final round will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. Live results and live video links can be found on the Championship Central web page. The team champion will receive the CACC’s automatic berth into the 2027 NCAA East/Atlantic Regional Championship next May.

Right behind STAC (578) and Felician (602) on the team leaderboard is third-place and defending champion Wilmington University (607). Post University (619) moved up one slot from Tuesday into fourth place, and is followed by the duo of Chestnut Hill College and Jefferson (627) and Dominican University New York (631).

 

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 21 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – seven for men, 10 for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
