Felician Men Enter, HFU Women Return to National D-II Basketball Rankings

Golden Falcons No. 25, Tigers No. 23 in Coaches Polls

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (February 25, 2025) – The Felician University men’s basketball team and the Holy Family University women’s basketball team entered the Top 25 of their respective national NCAA Division II coaches poll this week. Felician is No. 25 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches poll, while Holy Family is No. 23 on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association list. Both polls were released on Tuesday.

Felician is nationally ranked for the first time this season. The Golden Falcons own a 22-3 overall won-lost record, including 17-1 in CACC play, heading into tonight’s home game against the University of Bridgeport. Felician, guided by 11th-year head coach Ivan Lewis, has improved by eight victories over last season, and has clinched the top seed in next week’s CACC Championship tournament.

Holy Family appears in the WBCA poll for the first time since early December. The Tigers are 23-3 overall and 18-0 in conference action, and host Goldey-Beacom College on Thursday evening. Led by seventh-year head coach Bernadette Laukaitis, HFU is the defending CACC champion and has wrapped up the 2025-26 conference regular-season crown. Holy Family ranks second nationally in Division II in scoring defense, allowing 50.0 points per game.

Both the Felician men and the Holy Family women were listed as under consideration for the 2026 NCAA D-II Championship tournament from the East Region when the first set of regional rankings were released last week.
