AMHERST, N.Y. (March 15, 2026) – No. 2 seed Felician University was defeated by No. 3 seed Saint Anselm College, 99-77, during the semifinals of the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball East Region Championship on Sunday evening at Lumsden Gymnasium. Felician, the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champion, concludes the season with a won-lost record of 28-4.
After 11 early lead changes, Saint Anselm, the Northeast 10 Conference champion, opened up a 46-37 halftime advantage. Felician closed what was an 11-point deficit to 55-51 with 14:41 remaining, but the Hawks took control with a 23-6 run over the next 6 ½ minutes.
Jeremiah Anderson led four Felician scorers in double figures with 18 points and seven assists. Tavian Pullock scored 15 points and Moussa Camara netted 14. The Golden Falcons, ranked No. 21 in the most recent national Division II coaches poll, were making the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Round of 32.
Saint Anselm faces East Region host, top seed, and No. 4-ranked Daemen University in the regional final on Tuesday evening in Amherst. Daemen bested No. 5 seed Saint Michael’s College, 85-62, later on Sunday.
Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
