PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CAM EDMONDS, Georgian Court (SR, G, Chesapeake, Va.) – Became the Lions’ all-time leading scorer, currently with 1,444 points. Scored 31 points with four assists as GCU topped Bridgeport, 82-77, on Saturday. During a 1-1 week, averaged 25.0 points and 3.5 rebounds, was 7 for 14 from three-point range, and made 21 of 26 free-throw attempts.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

MATT GARDLER, Holy Family (FR, G, Broomall, Pa.) – Netted a season-high 26 points during the Tigers’ 83-67 victory over Chestnut Hill on Feb. 3. Was 9 for 10 from the field, including 6 of 7 from distance, and added three assists.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

TERENCE THOMPSON, Caldwell (FR, F, Rochester, N.Y.) – Averaged 12.0 rebounds (9.0 defensive) and 2.0 blocks (plus 12.5 points) in a 2-0 week during which the Cougars held opponents to 39-percent shooting. Made the game-winning tip-in at 0:02 then stole the ensuing long in-bounds pass to complete Saturday’s 70-69 win at Wilmington.

 

HONOR ROLL

JAIDEN GUY, Wilmington – Scored 17.5 points per game during a pair of outings for the Wildcats.
DeANGELO HORN, Caldwell – Averaged 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds during a 2-0 week for the Cougars.
EMARQUIS JONES, Goldey-Beacom – Averaged 16.5 points and 13.0 rebounds during a 1-1 week for the Lightning.
KOI D. KIRK JR., Dominican – Averaged 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds as the Chargers split a two contests.
