AMHERST, N.Y. (March 14, 2026) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champion Felician University advanced to the second round of the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship with a 75-53 opening-round victory over Adelphi University on Saturday at Daemen University’s Lumsden Gymnasium.
Goldey-Beacom College, an at-large representative from the CACC, was defeated in first-round play by East Region host Daemen, 111-78, later on Saturday.
Felician (28-3), the East’s No. 2 seed and the No. 21-ranked team in the most recent National Division II coaches poll, won an NCAA Tournament game for first time in program history. Ahead, 34-31, at halftime, the Golden Falcons used a 15-1 run over a nearly nine-minute stretch of the second half to pull away. CACC Player of the Year Jeremiah Anderson scored 30 points for Felician. Tavian Pullock added 14 points and Moussa Camara had nine points and 15 rebounds. Adelphi finishes 18-12.
The Golden Falcons move on to face No. 3 seed Saint Anselm College (24-7), a 92-81 winner over Assumption University on Saturday. Felician and the Hawks meet on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Daemen.
No. 8 seed Goldey-Beacom (21-11) came up short to No. 1 seed and No. 4-ranked Daemen (31-1) while playing in its first NCAA Tournament. Tre Powell led four Lightning double-figure scorers with 18 points and five assists.
Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
