PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAMES NAPOLI, Bridgeport (SR, A, Wantagh, N.Y.) – Scored twice in the final 1:38 of regulation to force overtime in an eventual 9-8 win over No. 19 Bentley on Mar. 18, the Purple Knights’ first victory over a ranked opponent. Piled up eight goals and four assists and added two caused turnovers during a 2-0 week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
CAMERON MAUNDERS, Post (FR, A, Ottawa, Ontario) – Combined for nine goals and three ground balls during a 2-0 week for the Eagles. Totaled six goals during a 13-8 victory over Point Park on Mar. 18. Added three more as Post earned a 20-4 conference win at Caldwell on Saturday.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AIDAN OWENS, Chestnut Hill (GR, D, Schwenksville, Pa.) – Recorded three ground balls and two caused turnovers during the Griffins’ 11-6 victory over Quincy on Mar. 18. Followed by scooping five grounders and causing five turnovers during an 11-8 loss to fellow CACC unbeaten Wilmington on Saturday.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
DANIEL FLYNN, Wilmington (JR, G, New York, N.Y.) – Played to a 7.50 goals-against average and a .500 save percentage during a 1-1 week for the Wildcats, facing a combined 59 shots. Added a ground ball and a caused turnover. Made nine saves during a 7-6 loss to Frostburg State and six more during an 11-8 win over fellow CACC unbeaten Chestnut Hill.
HONOR ROLL
DREW BAROCAS, Georgian Court – Totaled nine points during a 1-1 week for the Lions.
IAN BETTS, Wilmington – Combined for six goals on nine shots during a 1-1 week for the Wildcats.
JAMES BIENIA, Holy Family – Scored the overtime game-winner against Quincy. Had nine points and six ground balls in the contest.
MATTHEW HUGHES, Bridgeport – Was 2-0 in cage with a 5.30 GAA. Made seven saves during an overtime victory over No. 19 Bentley.
JAMES McCARTHY, Caldwell – Had 17 ground balls and eight caused turnovers, plus a goal, despite an 0-2 week for the Cougars.
KEGAN SWAIN, Post – Was 23 for 31 on faceoffs with 13 ground balls and three points during a 2-0 week for the Eagles.
