HFU Stays Put, Felician Up a Spot, in East Region Women's Basketball Ranking

Division II Selection Show to Follow CACC Championship Weekend

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 5, 2026) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members Holy Family University and Felician University remained among the 10 teams listed in the 2026 NCAA Division II East Region Women’s Basketball Ranking when the D-II Women’s Basketball Committee released the latest set of rankings on Wednesday. Holy Family stayed in the No. 5 spot, while Felician moved up one position to No. 6.

The Tigers and Golden Falcons were both victorious during the quarterfinals of the CACC Championship tournament on Tuesday. During Saturday’s semifinals, Holy Family (26-3), ranked No. 19 in the most recent national D-II coaches poll, will take on Chestnut Hill College before Felician (22-7) faces event host Caldwell University. The winner of the CACC Tournament, to be determined on Sunday, receives an automatic berth into the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship.

The NCAA will announce the 64-team field for its tournament on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. on ncaa.com. The East Region will receive automatic qualifiers from the CACC, East Coast Conference and Northeast 10 Conference and five at-large berths.

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
