CACC BASEBALL – March 9, 2026

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROMAN KEITH, Goldey-Beacom (SO, OF, Selbyville, Del.) – Went 9 for 20 (.450) and slugged 1.150 during a 3-2 week for the Lightning. Had a triple and four home runs, scored six runs, and drove in 12. Went 5 for 8 during a split with Queens-N.Y. on Sunday, including two home runs and six RBI during a Game 1 victory.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

SCOTT BORGMANN, Wilmington (SR, R, Parkton, Md.) – Earned the victory with 6 1/3 innings of relief as the Wildcats topped Minnesota-Crookston, 9-3, on Mar. 5. Allowed one unearned run on three hits, struck out 10 batters, and walked one.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

FRANKIE NOVIELLO, Georgian Court (FR, OF, Jackson, N.J.) – Collected 3 hits in 7 at-bats as the Lions took one of a three-game series against Pittsburgh-Johnstown. Drove in three runs and walked twice for a .556 on-base percentage.

 

HONOR ROLL

ENRIQUE BELTRA, Caldwell – Was 3 for 4, including a home run, with three RBI, during a doubleheader split with Staten Island.
ERICK DIAZ, Dominican– Hit .409 with two homers and six RBI during a 2-4 week for the Chargers.
TOMMY FEDERICI, Goldey-Beacom – Picked up a win in two relief appearances. Struck out nine of 17 batters faced. Allowed three hits and a walk in 3 1/3 scoreless innings.
JONATHAN GAMBONE, Caldwell – Earned a relief victory over Staten Island, allowing one unearned run on two hits in 4 1/3 innings.
JADEN GREENIDGE, Lincoln – Was 5 for 11 with a double despite an 0-4 week for the Lions.
JOSE MEDRANO, Felician – Was 4 for 7 with four RBI during a doubleheader split with D’Youville.
ALEXANDER ORTIZ, Holy Family – Pitched four innings of scoreless, one-hit ball with four strikeouts to earn a win against Staten Island.
CAM TREGO, Wilmington – Was 8 for 16 with a home run and five runs scored during a 2-3 week for the Wildcats.
