NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 25, 2026) – The field is set for the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship tournament, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced tonight. The six-team, single-elimination event will begin with the first round on Tuesday, April 28.
Tournament information is available at the CACC Championship Central web page at https://caccathletics.org/tournaments/?id=34.
Dominican University New York, the event’s three-time defending champion, completed its third consecutive undefeated CACC regular season in 2026. Dominican (13-3, 9-0 CACC), ranked No. 19 in the most recent national Division II coaches poll, is thus the No. 1 seed for the postseason tournament. Thomas Jefferson University (13-4, 8-1) has earned the No. 2 seed, and with that, the tournament’s other opening-round bye.
Tuesday’s first round will be held at the sites of the higher seeds. Wilmington University (15-2, 7-2) secured the No. 3 seed with a 23-5 home victory over the University of Bridgeport in today’s regular season finale. The Wildcats will entertain No. 6 seed Chestnut Hill College (8-6, 4-5) on Tuesday in Newark, Del., at 3:30 p.m. That game will be preceded by No. 5 seed Bridgeport (8-6, 5-4) traveling to Lakewood, N.J. to take on No. 4 seed Georgian Court University (9-8, 6-3) at 1 p.m.
The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, April 30, at 3:30 p.m. with the Chestnut Hill/Wilmington winner taking on Jefferson in Philadelphia, Pa., and the Bridgeport/Georgian Court winner trekking to Orangeburg, N.Y., to face Dominican. Wilmington is the predetermined host of the championship game on Saturday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at its athletics complex in Newark. The winner of the 2026 CACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.
Tickets for all rounds of the 2026 CACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. Children under three years of age will be admitted free. See the Championship Central link to follow the tournament online, purchase championship apparel, and buy tickets to the final.
