PLAYER OF THE WEEK
PAITYN THIBODEAUX, Bridgeport (SO, 1B, Apple Valley, Calif.) – Went 7 for 11 (.636) with three doubles, a home run, and three RBI during a 2-2 week for the Purple Knights. Slugged 1.182 and drew three walks for a .714 on-base percentage. Was 4 for 6 as UB won a pair of games at Wilmington on Friday, including stroking three doubles during the nightcap.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
KINSLEY HALL, Holy Family (JR, R, Frankford, Del.) – Was 1-0 with a 0.70 ERA and a .107 opponent batting average in two appearances. Allowed three hits with eight strikeouts over 10 innings. Tossed a one-hitter with five strikeouts in a 4-1 Game 1 victory over Chestnut Hill on Apr. 21.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
AYRI HANSEN, Goldey-Beacom (FR, OF, Lakewood, Calif.) – Went 4 for 6 at the plate to help lead the Lightning to a conference doubleheader sweep of Jefferson, 9-1, and 10-7, on Apr. 21. Lined a triple, scored three runs, drove in two, and stole two bases during the twinbill.
HONOR ROLL
HALEIGH FISHER, Caldwell – Allowed one run on four hits with eight strikeouts and one walk in a victory over Dominican.
MADISON GRUBB, Holy Family – Hit .455 with a home run and seven RBI during a 2-2 week for the Tigers.
MADDIE MATKOSKY, Caldwell – Was 4 for 6 with a homer, four runs and three RBI during a sweep of Dominican.
AUTUMN SIMPSON, Goldey-Beacom – Went 4 for 6 with a homer and four RBI as the Lightning swept Jefferson.
KIMBERLY TORRES, Felician – Batted .455 with a home run, five runs, five RBI and five walks during a 2-2 week for the Golden Falcons.
MACKENZIE WARD, Jefferson – Hit .450 and slugged .800 with seven runs and five RBI during a 3-3 week for the Rams.
