Defending Champion Wilmington is Top Seed for 2026 CACC Baseball Championship

Tournament Begins on Friday with Four First-Round Series

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 29, 2026) – The field and schedule for the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Championship tournament were released today by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The tournament begins with four first-round series on Friday and Saturday. The advancing teams will complete in a four-team double-elimination segment, to be hosted by Post University from May 7-9, to determine the champion.

The first-round series will be contested in a best-of-three format and hosted by the higher seeds. Competing teams will play a doubleheader on Friday at noon. If necessary, a third, deciding game would be staged on Saturday at the same site.

Wilmington University (34-15, 25-8), the event’s defending champion, won the 2026 CACC regular-season title and is the No. 1 seed for the tournament. The other first-round hosts will be No. 2 seed Goldey-Beacom College (29-20, 22-11), No. 3 Thomas Jefferson University (22-19, 21-12), and No. 4 Felician University (30-19, 20-13).

Wilmington will host a playoff series against No. 8 seed University of Bridgeport (21-23, 17-16) in New Castle, Del. Goldey-Beacom will welcome No. 7 seed Holy Family University (23-25, 18-15) to Hockessin, Del., while Jefferson will entertain fellow Philadelphia, Pa., institution Chestnut Hill College (22-20, 19-14), the No. 6 seed. No. 5 seed Post (25-24, 19-16) will travel to Madison, N.J., to face Felician.

The four-team, double-elimination portion will take place at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Conn. The winner of the 2026 CACC Baseball Championship will earn the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.

Tickets for all days of the 2026 CACC Baseball Championship are $10 per day for adults and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed.
