Wilmington 10th, Post 18th at NCAA Men's Golf Regional

Wildcats' Wallace is Conference's Top Individual

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (May 10, 2026) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champion Wilmington University tied for 10th place out of 20 teams and fellow CACC representative Post University finished 18th at the 2026 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional Men’s Golf Championship. The event was hosted by the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Thursday through Saturday at Sunnehanna Country Club.

Wilmington sophomore Noah Wallace, the CACC Player of the Year, was the top conference finisher individually. On the 7,029, par-70 layout, Wallace signed for rounds of 70, 71, and 75. His three-day total of 216 tied for 16th place.

The Wildcats produced a 46-over-par total of 886 for the weekend, carding daily totals of 293, 296, and 297. Post came up with team rounds of 306, 303, and 294 for a tournament total of 903. Complete results are available at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/243266/scoring/team.

Ninety-nine individuals played all three rounds of the tournament. Post’s Luis Reina tied for 35th (73-72-75—220) and Josh Freeman (72-75-74—221) and Sebastian Ramos (73-73-75—221) of Wilmington tied for 37th.  Two CACC players qualified for the Regional as individuals. Jaden Minter of Thomas Jefferson University was also among those in the 37th-place tie (77-72-72—221), while Pablo Hidalgo from Felician University tied for 96th place (78-77-81—236).

The top three teams in the event qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship. Those spots went to Gannon University (861), the University of Charleston (861), and Wheeling University (866).

 

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
