NEW HAVEN, Conn. (August 26, 2026) – The 2026-27 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s golf season gets underway on September 3-4 with two teams traveling to the Vulcan Invitational at PennWest California. By Sept. 14, all seven CACC programs will have been in action.
The CACC has a slightly new alignment this season. Goldey-Beacom College has discontinued its program, and the conference has welcomed St. Thomas Aquinas College as an associate member, holding the league steady at seven members.
The fall season will be a buildup to the 2026 CACC Men’s Golf Championship from Tue.-Thu., Oct. 6-8, at Jeffersonville Golf Club. Wilmington University is the defending champion and Wildcat junior Noah Wallace was the 2025 medalist.
Thomas Jefferson University will serve as host of the CACC Championship, which will be broadcast live on the CACC Network. The conference champion will automatically qualify for the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional Championship next May.
Below is a team-by-team preview of the 2026-27 campaign (submitted by member schools):
CHESTNUT HILL – The Griffins are optimistic as the season gets underway, returning their core nucleus of four golfers. CHC will be led by junior Rogelio Gerena, who placed 13th at last year’s CACC Championship. Gerena also tied the school record with a round of 69 last season. Junior Hugo Almeida, CHC’s second top 20 finisher at last year’s championship, also returns looking to regain his early 2025 form that had him as the Griffins’ top golfer heading into the conference tournament. The Griffins will get four tournaments in prior to the CACC Championship this fall, opening the season on September 3-4 at the Vulcan Invitational at California University of Pennsylvania.
DOMINICAN – The Chargers add four newcomers to a roster which sees senior Bruno Pardo and sophomore Rodrigo Romero return.
FELICIAN – Returning for the Golden Falcons are Kelan Dhanani, Carlos Ferreira, Diego Herrera, and Alvaro Rogado Tobio. Rogado Tobio, the CACC Co-Rookie of the Month for April 2026, opened last season with a runner-up finish at the Franklin Pierce Fall Kickoff. Ferreira placed third at the Penmen Spring Invite. Felician also looks for a boost from Isaac Puerto Rodriguez, a transfer from Goldey-Beacom College.
JEFFERSON – Head coach Nick Nguyen and the Rams are excited to host this year’s CACC Championship at Jeffersonville Golf Club in Norristown, Pa. Coach Nguyen will return all eight golfers from last season, including all-region honoree Jaden Minter. Freshman internationals Santino Pineda and Eduardo Villarejo will provide added depth and have the potential to contribute in the short and long term.
POST – The Eagles graduate all-region performer Joe Ensign but return nine players from last season’s team which finished second in the CACC and earned an at-large NCAA Tournament berth. Returnee Luis Reina joined Ensign as an All-CACC selection, and Phil Granum followed a strong finish to 2025-26 with an excellent summer. Florian Schimek and Braden Shea are the team’s seniors. Freshman Joe Hansen rounds out the roster. The Eagles are looking for a strong start to the fall after finishing last year’s regular season with back-to-back victories.
ST. THOMAS AQUINAS – The Spartans are excited to be a part of the CACC for the 2026-27 season. STAC returns six players from last year’s squad, including GCAA All-American Diego Ocasio, now a senior. Conor McKenna and Ethan Jolin look to build on their impressive first seasons with the Spartans, while Noah Barnatt, Eddie McElroy, and Jeffrey Ambrose are primed to have breakout seasons. The team welcomes newcomers Max Gibbs, a transfer from Lander, Jack Powers, a transfer from Scranton, and freshman Mannix Verdosa.
WILMINGTON – The defending CACC champion Wildcats are in good shape heading into 2026-27, returning all six student-athletes that competed in last year’s CACC Championship and a seventh that played in the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional as well. They will once again be anchored by two-time CACC Player of the Year and defending CACC Tournament medalist Noah Wallace, while reigning CACC Rookie of the Year Sebastian Ramos returns for his second year with the Cats. Josh Freeman is back for his third year, making it three returning All-CACC performers for the Wildcats. Wilmington opens fall competition in early September with the UC Invitational in West Virginia.
Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 21 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – seven for men, 10 for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
