NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 11, 2026) – Three of the six teams competing in the 2026 NCAA Division II East Region Baseball Championship will be Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members. Goldey-Beacom College and Felician University were selected on an at-large basis to join CACC champion Wilmington University in the tournament. The 56-team field for the NCAA D-II Baseball Championship was announced by the NCAA on Sunday night.
Wilmington drew the No. 4 seed in the East Region, Goldey-Beacom the No. 5 seed, and Felician the No. 6 seed. The top two seeds, earning the right to host regional tournaments, are No. 1 Bentley University and No. 2 Molloy University, while Southern New Hampshire University was chosen as the No. 3 seed. Both East Regional Championships are three-team, double-elimination tournaments beginning on Thursday, May 14. Game times and ticket information will be announced later in the week.
The East Regional 1 Championship will be hosted by Bentley (39-13) on its Waltham, Mass., campus. That event will feature a first-round matchup between Wilmington (39-15) and Goldey-Beacom (33-22) in a rematch of the CACC Championship final. The Wildcats are appearing in their 12th NCAA Tournament and the Lightning their fifth.
Molloy (39-9) will host the East Regional 2 Championship at Mitchel Field in Uniondale, N.Y. Felician (33-21), playing in its seventh NCAA Tournament, will face Southern New Hampshire (40-12) in Thursday’s opening game, with the loser staying on the field to take on the Lions.
The two winners of the Regional Tournaments will play in the East Super Regional Championship, a best-of-three series the following weekend to be hosted by the highest remaining seed.
Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
