NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 29, 2026) – Chestnut Hill College is the winner of the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Sportsmanship Award for men’s sports, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today.
During the academic year, a postseason Team Sportsmanship Award is handed out for each of the CACC’s championship sports. The year-end overall Sportsmanship Award is determined by the total number of points received in the voting for each individual sport, separated by gender, during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. The total is divided by the total number of men’s and women’s sports in which each school competes, and that average determines the standings.
Chestnut Hill won the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award in basketball this year. The Griffins compete in all seven of the conference’s men’s championship sports, and averaged 13.43 points per sport.
Georgian Court University finished second in the final standings for the second consecutive year after winning the award in 2023-24. The Lions, who took the Team Sportsmanship Award in track & field, averaged 11.17 points over six sports. Caldwell University, which won the team honor in baseball, was third at 10.50.
Bloomfield College was the 2024-25 CACC Men's Sportsmanship Award winner.
