Caldwell Wins 2025-26 CACC Women's Sportsmanship Award

Cougars Take Overall Conference Honor

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 29, 2026) – The 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Sportsmanship Award for women’s sports has been bestowed upon Caldwell University, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today.

During the academic year, a postseason Team Sportsmanship Award is handed out for each of the CACC’s 17 championship sports. The year-end overall Sportsmanship Award is determined by the total number of points received in the voting for each individual sport, separated by gender, during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. The total is divided by the total number of men’s and women’s sports in which each school competes, and that average determines the standings.

Caldwell won the CACC Team Sportsmanship Awards in volleyball and lacrosse this year. The Cougars compete in eight of the conference’s nine women’s championship sports, and averaged 13.13 points per sport.

Chestnut Hill College, backed by sharing the team sportsmanship award in bowling, finished second in the final standings with an average of 10.00 points over nine sports. Dominican University New York placed third with at 9.78, also for nine sports, while claiming the team honor in softball.

Bloomfield College was the winner of the 2024-25 CACC Women’s Sportsmanship Award.
