NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 1, 2026) – Two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference softball players have been selected as 2026 NCAA Division II All-Americans. Felician University junior designated player Kimberly Torres was voted onto the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America Second Team and was a Third-Team choice of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. University of Bridgeport senior third baseman Mya Jones joined Torres as an NFCA Third-Team selection.
Torres, of East Orange, N.J., is the first All-American in Felician softball history. She played in all 50 games for the Golden Falcons, splitting time between DP and catcher, and led the CACC in batting average (.448), slugging percentage (.828), hits (73), doubles (21), home runs (13), and runs batted in (47). Felician finished second in the CACC regular-season standings and third in the conference tournament.
Jones, from Milford, Del., is Bridgeport’s first NCFA All-American since 1993. She batted .434 over 47 games and topped the CACC with a .513 on-base percentage. She had 11 doubles and seven home runs, scored 26 runs, and drove in 36. Her .669 slugging percentage was third in the league. Jones helped lead the Purple Knights to the CACC championship and their fourth NCAA Tournament berth in the last five seasons.
Torres and Jones were the only CACC softball players to be selected to a 2026 All-America team.
Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
