Mason, who played center field for Goldey-Beacom, recorded 148 putouts and six assists without an error during 56 games (53 starts). The Lightning (33-24, 22-11 CACC) reached the CACC final for the first time and earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Division II Championship tournament.

Mason is the first Goldey-Beacom player to earn ABCA Gold Glove honors, and the first from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference since Dominican College catcher Tyler Clark was selected in 2014.
