NEW HAVEN, Conn. (August 7, 2026) – Wilmington University has been selected to host the 2027 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Championship tournament. The four-team, double-elimination final round of the event will be held from May 13-15 at Wilson Field in New Castle, Del.
The top eight teams in the regular-season standings will qualify for the postseason. The CACC Championship gets underway with four best-of-three series on May 7-8, each hosted by the higher seeds. The winners of those four series will advance to Wilmington for the remainder of the tournament.
The Wildcats are no stranger to hosting the CACC Baseball Championship. The event was previously held at Wilmington from 2005-16 and again in 2025.
Wilmington is the event’s two-time defending champion. The winner of the 2027 tournament once again automatically qualifies for the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship.
Admission for all days, including first-round play, of the championship is $10 for adults and $5 for children, students, and senior citizens. The CACC Network will also provide live coverage of all games.

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 21 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – seven for men, 10 for women, and one co-ed.
