Hidalgo Continues to Lead CACC Men's Golf Championship

Felician Senior Up Two Strokes on Wilmington's Wallace; Final Round Awaits

WILMINGTON, Del. (October 6, 2025) – For the second consecutive day, Felician University senior Pablo Hidalgo is the individual leader at the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship tournament. The event is being hosted by Goldey-Beacom College Sunday through Tuesday at White Clay Creek Country Club.

Hidalgo followed his opening round 72 on Sunday with a 76 on Monday, making two birdies and six bogeys on the par-72, 7007-yard course. He maintains a two-shot edge over Wilmington University sophomore Noah Wallace, who also carded a 76 on Monday following Sunday’s round of 74.

The CACC Championship is a 54-hole tournament. The third and final round begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. Live results and live video links are available on the Championship Central page.

Scores trended upward on Monday, with the 34-player field averaging 82.65, more than a stroke higher than the previous day. Goldey-Beacom senior William Kelly authored the best round of the day with a 75, allowing him to move 13 spots up the leaderboard into fifth place.

The top five players at the conclusion of the event will be named to the CACC All-Tournament Team. Following Hidalgo (148, +4) and Wallace (150, +6) in the top five after round two are a pair of Post University players, junior Braden Shea (154, +10) and graduate student Joe Ensign (155, +11). Kelly owns a +12 two-day score of 156 with four additional players at 157, one stroke off of the All-Tournament pace.

Post is in first place in the team standings with two-day score of 628, four strokes ahead of Wilmington in the seven-team field. The Eagles are seeking their first CACC championship since the 2009-10 season.

 

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
