Wilmington's Wallace Earns CACC Men's Golf Individual Crown With One-Stroke Victory

Wildcat Sophomore Edges Felician's Hidalgo After Tight Final-Round Competition

WILMINGTON, Del. (October 7, 2025) – Wilmington University sophomore Noah Wallace is the individual champion of the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship tournament. The 54-hole event was hosted by Goldey-Beacom College on Sunday through Tuesday at White Clay Creek Country Club.

Wallace began Tuesday’s final round two strokes behind Felician University senior Pablo Hidalgo. After he pulled even with Hidalgo on the first hole, the two stayed within one shot of each other for the rest of the day. Wallace broke free for the final time with a par on 17, and finished the tournament with an eight-over-par total of 224 (74-76-74). Hidalgo settled for the runner-up spot with 72-76-77—225.

Wallace, from Elkton, Md., was the CACC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year in 2024-25. He finished fourth in last year’s conference tournament. The event’s top five players were named to the 2025-26 CACC All-Tournament Team. Earning all-tournament honors along with Wallace and Hidalgo were Goldey-Beacom senior Guillermo de Miguel (74-83-74—231), Post University graduate student Joe Ensign (77-78-79—234), and Wilmington freshman Sebastian Ramos (79-82-73—234).

Rounding out the tournament’s individual accolades, Goldey-Beacom senior William Kelly earned the CACC Top XVI Award for holding the highest grade-point average among those in the tournament’s starting lineups.

Wallace’s victory marked the sixth occasion a Wilmington player has been the CACC individual champion and the first since 2019-20.

 

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
