CACC Has Seven Named to All-Met Men's Basketball Squads

Conference Player of the Year Cisse Among Three First-Teamers

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 17, 2025) – Seven men’s basketball student-athletes representing Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference member institutions were named to the 2024-25 Division II All-Met Teams, the Met Basketball Writers Association announced today. The CACC placed three players on the All-Met First Team, including conference Player of the Year Aliou Cisse of the University of Bridgeport.

Cisse, a junior, was joined on the First Team by Georgian Court University junior Cam Edmonds and graduate student Jaden Honis of Dominican University New York. Cisse averaged 19.5 points and 6.1 rebounds, while Edmonds led the CACC in scoring with 23.8 points per game. Honis averaged 16.8 points and 3.1 assists for the Chargers.

Selected to the Second Team were sophomore Starrell Hearns and senior Edward Ngene of Bloomfield College. Caldwell University junior DeAngelo Horn and Felician University junior Marcus Pierce were honorable mention selections of the MBWA.

The 2024-25 All-Met teams will be honored at the 92nd MBWA Haggerty Awards dinner on Thursday, April 24, at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel & Conference Center in Tarrytown, N.Y. The Haggerty dinner is the longest running media-managed college basketball awards program in the United States.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
