CACC SOFTBALL – April 21, 2025

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KIMBERLY TORRES, Felician – Sophomore catcher/first baseman hit .481 (13 for 27) and slugged 1.000 during a 6-2 week for the Golden Falcons. Hit four home runs, two each during a Game 2 victory at Dominican on Apr. 14 and Game 1 at Post two days later. Scored six runs and drove in 14 during the week. Had four multi-hit games and four multi-RBI contests.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

DELANEY ALIX, Jefferson – Freshman right-hander went 2-0 with a 0.98 ERA and a .189 batting average against in two starts. Tossed a nine-inning complete game, scattering eight hits with five strikeouts during a 3-2 win over Georgian Court on Apr. 16. Pitched a six-inning, two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and no walks against Post the next day.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

PAITYN THIBODEAUX, Bridgeport– Infielder went 9 for 12, including 8 for her last 8, with two doubles during five games of a 6-2 week for the Purple Knights. Added two walks for a .786 on-base percentage and did not strike out over 15 plate appearances.

 

HONOR ROLL

KAITE BURAWSKI, Bridgeport – Completed and won all four of her starts. Pitched to a 2.41 ERA with 29 strikeouts over 29 innings.
ANNIE ELIASON, Jefferson – Hit .538 and slugged 1.154 with six runs scored and seven RBI during a 4-0 week for the Rams.
McKENNA FRANK, Goldey-Beacom – Went 11 for 22 with seven XBH and eight RBI during the Lightning’s 5-1 week.
KYLEE GUNKEL, Wilmington – Went 2-0 in the circle, yielding two hits during eight scoreless innings. Was part of a combined no-hitter against Bloomfield.
MYA JONES, Bridgeport – Hit .458 with eight runs scored and seven RBI during a 6-2 week for the Purple Knights.
TRISTYN STEWART, Wilmington – Wildcats’ leadoff batter was 7 for 12 with seven runs scored and five stolen bases during a 4-0 week.
ASHLEIGH TAVASKA, Caldwell – Went 8 for 14 with six XBH, seven runs and 10 RBI during a 4-0 week for the Cougars.
REAGAN WINN, Georgian Court – Went 7 for 11 at the plate and scored five runs during the Lions’ 1-3 week.
