Wilmington to Host Fifth Consecutive CACC Women's Tennis Championship

Event Returns to Delcastle Tennis Center

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 22, 2025) – Wilmington University has been chosen as the host school for the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Tennis Championship tournament. The two-day, single-elimination event will be held at the Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, Del., on Oct. 18-19.

Wilmington is hosting the CACC Championship for the fifth consecutive year. The Wildcats are also the tournament’s four-time defending champions. Delcastle has six outdoor and six indoor courts and the event would move indoors in the event of inclement weather.

“The Delcastle Tennis Center is an excellent venue for such an event as the CACC Tournament,” said Wilmington Director of Athletics Dr. Stefanie Whitby. "Wilmington University and Wildcat Athletics are proud to host such an amazing event which will showcase some of the best women’s tennis in the East Region.”

Six CACC institutions sponsor women’s tennis. The top four teams in the regular-season standings will advance to the Championship. During Saturday’s semifinals, the No. 4 seed will play the No. 1 seed, followed by the No. 3 seed facing the No. 2 seed. Saturday’s winners will meet for the title on Sunday. The CACC champion will automatically qualify for the 2026 NCAA East Regional Championship in May.

The CACC Network will provide live coverage of the tournament.
