NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 4, 2026) – Two weeks of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Fall 2026 esports season – just one-third of the way through the circuit – have already seen a familiar favorite emerge in one game title.
Bloomfield College sits alone in first place out of five teams in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Bears are 2-0 with a +16 stock differential. In the short history of CACC esports – this is the third academic year and the fifth season – Bloomfield has yet to lose a Smash Bros. match. Post University topped Goldey-Beacom College, 2-0, in this week’s other match.
A conference-record six teams are sponsoring Marvel Rivals this fall. All six matches have been played during the first two weeks of action, and Holy Family University and Caldwell University have gotten off to perfect 2-0 starts. Holy Family has yet to drop a game this season, including Friday’s 3-0 victory Georgian Court University.
Caldwell and Holy Family do not meet until Week four in Rivals, so both teams have the potential to stay unbeaten for another week as the regular season reaches the halfway point. In Smash Bros., Georgian Court has the Week 3 bye, and Caldwell, which has already had its bye and another match rescheduled, finally makes its fall debut.
