CACC SOFTBALL – March 9, 2026

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

McKENZIE MORGAN, Bridgeport (JR, C, Smithtown, N.Y.) – Was a consistent presence in the lineup during a 7-3 week for the Purple Knights. Hit in 7 of 10 games with three doubles and a home run. Batted .370 with a .469 on-base percentage and slugged .593. Was 3 for 4 with a double, homer and four RBI during a Mar. 5 victory over Salem.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

HALEIGH FISHER, Caldwell (SO, R, Smyrna, N.Y.) – Went 1-0 with a 0.51 ERA and a .200 opponent batting average in two appearances. Pitched a five-hit shutout in a 1-0 victory over Assumption. Allowed one run on five hits in a six-inning relief appearance versus Tiffin.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

HANNAH THERUET, Chestnut Hill (Fr, C, Little Egg Harbor, N.J.) – Went 6 for 15 (.400) with five runs scored and three stolen bases during a 4-4 week for the Griffins. Lined two triples during a 9-1 win over Waynesburg on Mar. 3

 

HONOR ROLL

MADISON GRUBB, Holy Family – Hit .412 and slugged .706 with six RBI during a 2-6 week for the Tigers.
KINDEL JOHNSON, Dominican – Batted .333 with a .474 on-base percentage in eight games for the Chargers.
SYDNIE LANASA, Jefferson – Hit .385 with a triple and five RBI during a 3-3 week for the Rams.
BELLE TETREAULT, Chestnut Hill – Was 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA and a .122 opponent batting average in two pitching starts.
DEVIN WARNER, Chestnut Hill – Was 6 for 13 with three runs scored and a .500 on-base percentage as the Griffins went 4-4.
VISE ZARATE, Bridgeport – Was 5-1 with a 2.12 ERA and a shutout in the pitching circle. Opponents hit .246 in 32 1/3 innings.
