NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 29, 2026) – The two defending champions from the fall have reached the championship finals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Spring 2026 Esports season. Bloomfield College will defend its title in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, while Goldey-Beacom College will compete for the championship in both game titles, including the Marvel Rivals crown it won last fall.
The playoff results and finals schedule are also available on the CACC Championship Central page.
No. 1 seed Bloomfield advanced to the Smash Ultimate final with a 2-0 (9-4, 9-3) semifinal victory over No. 4 seed Dominican University New York. The Bears have won all three CACC Smash championships in conference history. After falling to Bloomfield in the fall final, Goldey-Beacom will once again attempt to unseat the Bears. Goldey-Beacom edged No. 3 seed Post University, 2-1 (9-7, 8-9, 9-5) in the other spring semifinal. Bloomfield and GBC will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Top seed Goldey-Beacom needed the full five games to get past No. 4 seed Caldwell University, 3-2, to earn the right to defend its title in Marvel Rivals. The Lightning will meet Holy Family University in the final, with the No. 2 seed Tigers defeating No. 3 seed Post, 3-0, across the bracket.
