NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 9, 2026) – Week 5 of the Spring 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference esports season saw most of the playoff spots be determined.

Bloomfield College wrapped up yet another regular-season championship in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Bears earned two victories last week, in their regularly-scheduled match and in a make-up, to improve to 5-0 with one week remaining. Bloomfield has won the Smash regular-season crown in all four CACC seasons since the conference instituted esports. Goldey-Beacom College and Post University will be determined the second and third playoff seeds in the week ahead, but either way are destined for a first-round playoff matchup.

The Marvel Rivals regular season was completed without the need for tiebreakers. Holy Family University clinched second place with a victory over Caldwell University, and Post secured third place by defeating Wilmington University. Idle Goldey-Beacom is the top seed for the playoffs and will face Caldwell in the first round on March 27.
