NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 29, 2026) – Fourteen Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference baseball players have attained 2026 NCAA Division II All-East Region status. The athletes were recognized by least one of the three organizations sponsoring such programs – the American Baseball Coaches Association, Division II Conference Commissioners Association, and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Wilmington University senior Scott Borgmann highlighted the selections by being voted the D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year. Borgmann, from Parkton, Md., was 7-1 with seven saves and a 1.65 earned-run average in 20 appearances, all in relief. In 60 innings he allowed 42 hits, struck out 85 batters, and walked 18. He was part of a Wildcat squad that won both the regular-season and tournament CACC championships.
Six CACC schools were represented on the All-Region squads, with Wilmington topping the conference with six honorees. Nine CACC student-athletes were consensus all-region choices by being voted onto all three teams. Three players – Borgmann, Wilmington teammate Tyler Pirrung, and Erick Diaz of Dominican University New York – were consensus First-Team all-region performers.
