NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 6, 2026) – Wilmington University senior second baseman Tyler Pirrung has been selected as the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Player of the Year. Wilmington senior right-hander Scott Borgmann was named the 2026 CACC Pitcher of the Year. Pirrung and Borgmann, who were also both voted onto to the All-CACC First Team, headline the all-conference teams and major award winners announced today by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting was conducted by the conference’s 12 head coaches.

Caldwell University freshman third baseman Justin Levine is the 2026 CACC Baseball Rookie of the Year. Levine was also elected to the All-CACC First Team. Wilmington head coach Brian August was chosen the Athletic Solutions Coach of the Year by his peers, while Lincoln University will receive the 2026 Baseball Team Sportsmanship Award.

He had league highs of 47 runs scored and 54 hits in 33 conference games.

Borgmann, of Parkton, Md., was elected All-CACC as a relief pitcher. In 16 appearances, all out of the bullpen, he is 6-0 with five saves, a 1.43 earned run average, and a .171 opponent batting average. In 50 1/3 innings, he has allowed 31 hits and 17 walks. His 70 strikeouts are third in the conference.

Wilmington is the No. 4 team in the most recent NCAA Division II Committee East Region ranking. August, who has led the Wildcats since 2005, is the CACC Coach of the Year for the fourth time (2010, 2015, 2022).
