Dominican Ranked No. 16 in Final 2025 IWLCA Division II Poll

Chargers Are First CACC Team to Appear in Final National Women's Lacrosse Poll

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- (May 31, 2025) --  The Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team finished the 2025 season ranked 16th in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Top 25 which was released earlier this week.

This is the highest ranking for the Lady Chargers in program history.  In the last poll that was released Dominican was ranked 22nd.

Dominican concluded the season with an overall record of 19-2, setting a new program record for wins in a season and had won 18 straight games until their loss in the second round of the NCAA East Regional Tournament.

The 2025 Lady Chargers earned the program's and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's (CACC) first berth in the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament after winning their third-straight CACC Tournament Championship. The team, ranked third in the East Region, went on to defeat Molloy in the first round to pick up the school's and conference's first victory in the NCAA Tournament in the sport of women's lacrosse.

Dominican was one of four teams fron the East Region to appear in the final poll with the national runner-up, Adelphi University sitting second, Pace University was 10th, the University of New Haven was 15th and Dominican finished 16th.
