2025-26 CACC Men's Golf Preview

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (August 28, 2025) – The 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s golf season gets underway on September 8 with five of the league’s seven teams in action at various matches throughout the region. Three days later, all seven squads will complete in the CACC Preview event at White Clay Creek Country Club in Wilmington, Del.

The fall season will be a buildup to the 2025 CACC Men’s Golf Championship from Sun.-Tues., Oct. 5-7., at White Clay Creek CC. Goldey-Beacom College is the defending champion, while 2024 medalist Alexander Lundvall of Dominican University New York has graduated.

Goldey-Beacom will serve as host of the CACC Championships, which will be broadcast live on the CACC Network. The conference champion will automatically qualify for the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional Championship next May. Five CACC schools were selected for the 2025 regionals.

Below is a team-by-team preview of the 2025-26 campaign (submitted by member schools):

CHESTNUT HILLThe Griffins return four golfers for 2025-26 including CACC All-tournament honoree Rogelio Gerena who placed fifth at last year’s championship.  Gerena, now a sophomore, will be joined by classmates Hugo Almeida (a top 20 finisher at last year’s championship) and Kiefer Sharman along with senior Jack Bulman. Chestnut Hill also adds two new golfers for additional depth.  The team kicks off the season at the WCU Battlefield Classic on September 8-9.

DOMINICAN – The Chargers return four golfers from last year’s roster including junior Bruno Pardo, who was an all-conference and NCAA D-II Cobalt Golf All-America selection.

FELICIAN – First-year head coach Andy Crane is the third coach in program history. J.R. DiNallo had led the Golden Falcons for 18 of their first 20 seasons and guided the 2024-25 squad to the program’s first NCAA Atlantic/East Regional berth as a team. Returning senior Pablo Hidalgo was an All-CACC and GCAA Ping All-East Region Honoree and placed 11th at the Regional. Sophomore Daniel Martensson was also an all-conference honoree a year ago. Other returnees include senior Cesar Castellano, junior Carlos Ferreira, and sophomore Diego Herrera.

GOLDEY-BEACOM – The Lightning will compete for a fourth consecutive CACC title. Leading the way is senior Camilo Samur, who ended 15th in the East Region after closing third at the CACC Championship. Joining Samur on the All-CACC team was senior Guillermo de Miguel, who was sixth at the conference championship. Senior William Kelly was picked to the All-CACC team in 2023-24 and looks to be back in form after seeing his 2024-25 season limited due to injury. GBC won five tournaments a year ago, including the CACC Championship, and advanced to the NCAA Regional for the fourth year in a row.

JEFFERSON – The Rams return five golfers from last season, including four of their top five scorers, while adding three new players. Junior Jaden Minter returns after posting a 79.8 scoring average last year, including a first-place finish at the Husky Invitational. Jason Giampapa held an 81.7 average, with both topping Jefferson in six rounds. Thomas Baschoff and Mike Boland come into the year with averages of 81.4 and 81.6, respectively.

POST – Five incoming freshmen give the Eagles 11 players in 2025-25, up from seven last year. The Eagles’ two home courses for play and practice, Waterbury Country Club and Watertown Golf Club, should provide dividends across the many styles of golf the team will play. The fall schedule also includes travel to such courses as Great River Golf Club, The Ranch in Southwick, Mass., and Meadowbrook Club in Jericho, N.Y. The schedule balances 36- and 54-hole competitions and begins with a Division-I tournament at Sacred Heart University. New assistant coach Bob Sagendorf hopes to balance out the players’ mental side and keep spirits high.

WILMINGTONThe Wildcats are looking to improve upon their third-place finish at the 2024 CACC Championship. They will be led by returning CACC Player and Rookie of the Year Noah Wallace. The Wildcats finished 11th in the 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional Tournament to end last spring and bring back Wallace (T-20th) and Josh Freeman (T-59th) who competed in that event. Ryan Heenan also returns after competing in six tournaments last year, including a 26th-place finish at the CACC Tournament. He is joined by redshirt freshman James DeRocini, a sophomore transfer, and four incoming freshmen who are looking to bring the Wildcats their first CACC Championship since 2021. The Wildcats have five tournaments scheduled for the fall, starting with the UC Invitational on Sept. 8-9.
