NORRISTOWN, Pa. (October 6, 2026) – Five players are within one stroke of the lead after Day 1 of the 2026-27 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship tournament. The event is being hosted by Thomas Jefferson University today through Thursday at Jeffersonville Golf Club.
Thirty-five players started the event, and none reached par on Tuesday. Three entrants sit atop the field after signing for a 71 on the par-70, 6,443-yard layout. St. Thomas Aquinas College sophomore Conor McKenna, who played in the day’s final foursome, made pars on his final seven holes to finish at +1. He joined Chestnut Hill College junior Hugo Almeida and Jefferson freshman Eduardo Villarejo at the top of the leaderboard.
The CACC Championship is a 54-hole tournament. The second round begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Live results and live video links are available on the Championship Central page.
The top five players at the conclusion of the event will be named to the CACC All-Tournament Team. Sitting one shot back of the leading trio are St. Thomas Aquinas senior Diego Ocasio and Wilmington University sophomore Sebastian Ramos (72). Two others – sophomore Alvaro Rogado of Felician University and Jefferson junior Thomas Baschoff – lurk two strokes outside the top five with a first-round 74.
STAC is in first place in the team standings with a round of 293, five strokes ahead of the host Rams in the seven-team field. Jefferson is seeking its first CACC championship, while the Spartans are new associate conference members for men’s golf.
Jefferson is hosting the CACC Men’s Golf Championship for the first time.
Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 21 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – seven for men, 10 for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
