CACC SOFTBALL – April 6, 2026

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROZALEE NEGRON, Jefferson (SO, IF, Whitehall, Pa.) – In the Rams’ only action of the week, went 6 for 7 with two doubles, a triple, five runs scored and seven RBI during a doubleheader sweep of Chestnut Hill on Apr. 1. Drove in five runs during an 11-5 Game 1 victory. Was 3 for 3 plus a walk as Jefferson took the nightcap, 12-1.

Co-PITCHER OF THE WEEK

OLIVIA HITCHENS, Wilmington (SO, R, Dagsboro, Del.) Went 1-0 with a save in three appearances, totaling 8 2/3 scoreless innings. Allowed four hits for a .138 opponent batting average. Pitched a five-inning four-hit shutout in the Wildcats’ 8-0 Game 2 win over Felician on Saturday.

Co-PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MOLLY MOORE, HOLY FAMILY (FR, IF, Warwick, R.I.) – Went 1-0 with a save in two appearances, totaling 7 1/3 scoreless innings. Allowed three hits for a .130 opponent batting average. Pitched a five-inning, one-hit shutout in the Tigers’ 8-0 Game 1 win over Queens on Friday.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

EMERSON JARRARD, Caldwell (FR, 1B, Carlsbad, Calif.) – Was 3 for 3 with a double and a triple and drove in five runs during the Cougars’ doubleheader sweep of Post on Mar. 31. Added a hit batsman, sacrifice bunt and sacrifice fly on the day.

 

HONOR ROLL

HALEIGH FISHER, Caldwell – Pitched a five-inning two-hit shutout with one walk and seven strikeouts in a win over Post.
HALEY GRYGO, Wilmington – Was 6 for 12 with two doubles and three RBI during a 2-2 week for the Wildcats.
AYRI HANSEN, Goldey-Beacom – Batted .417 with a double, triple, and four RBI as the Lightning went 3-1.
LILY HOBAN, Holy Family – Hit in all four games of a 2-2 week, batting .385 with a double, home run, and five runs scored.
MYA JONES, Bridgeport – Went 5 for 7 in UB’s doubleheader against Mercy.
MEGHAN McGURK, Post – Pitched a no-hitter against Chestnut Hill for her first collegiate win as part of a 1-1 week. Struck out 10 in 12 1/3 innings.
ANGELICA TOMPKINS, Post – Was 8 for 12 with a double, home run, and four RBI during a 2-2 week for the Eagles.
KIMBERLY TORRES, Felician – Went 10 for 20 with two doubles, a home run and six runs scored during a 4-2 week for the Golden Falcons.
