Jefferson Captures Fifth Consecutive Women's Restaino Cup

Rams Edge Wilmington for 13th Award for CACC All-Sport Supremacy

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 28, 2026) – Thomas Jefferson University has won the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Alfred R. Restaino Sr. Cup for women’s sports, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today. Jefferson claims the women’s Restaino Cup for the fifth consecutive year.

The Restaino Cup is handed out based on institutions’ performances across all CACC championship sports, with one Cup awarded for each gender. The point system used considers each program’s finish in both the 2025-26 regular-season standings and conference championship tournaments. Each school’s point total is compared to the number of points it was possible for it to earn, and the standings are based on that percentage.

The award is named after the late Bloomfield College coach and director of athletics Alfred R. Restaino Sr., who served a vital role not only in the development of Bloomfield’s athletics department, but in the enhancement of the CACC. Restaino was inducted into the CACC Hall of Fame in 2015.

Jefferson earned 66.95 percent of possible women’s points. The Rams won the conference championship in cross-country and the regular-season crowns in soccer and tennis.

Wilmington University, which won the CACC championships in tennis, soccer, and lacrosse, finished second in the final standings with 63,67 percent of available points. Felician University was third with 59.40 percent, including the conference basketball title.

Jefferson wins the women’s Restaino Cup for the 13th occasion, the most in CACC history.
