NEW HAVEN, Conn. (February 22, 2026) – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Spring 2026 esports regular season has reached the halfway point. Both of the Fall 2025 champions continue to impress.
One cycle through the double round-robin schedule in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sees Bloomfield College sitting atop the standings. The Bears defeated Post University, two games to none, to improve to 3-0. Goldey-Beacom (2-1) gained sole possession of second place with a 2-0 victory over Dominican University New York, putting GBC and Bloomfield on an early collision course for a repeat of last fall’s championship match.
Goldey-Beacom took advantage of a bye week for Holy Family University to move into sole possession of first place in Marvel Rivals, as it looks to defend its fall conference championship in that title. The Lightning (3-0), who drew a Week 5 bye, face fellow unbeaten Holy Family (2-0) next week after knocking off Post, three games to none, on Friday. Caldwell University (1-1) picked up its first win of the season by downing Wilmington University, 3-0.
